Elisabeth first started acting at a young age with a role in the TV movie Bar Girls.  She also appeared in 7 different episodes of Picket Fences, as well as doing voice over work in Frosty Returns and Once Upon a Forest. She stared in a series of TV movies, including playing a Young Ashley Judd in the Judd Family TV Movie.

Her big break came with the recurring role of Zoey Bartlet over all 7 seasons of The West Wing.  She branched into more film work, with smaller roles in Girl Interrupted and Mumford.  Her big move break came in the movie Virgin in 2003, which gained her an Independent Spirit Nomination.

Since 2007 she has starred as Peggy Olsen in the AMC hit show, Mad Men.  She’s also done guest roles on Grey’s Anatomy, Medium, Private Practice and most recently on Mercy.  Her more recent films include What Happened to the Morgans and Get Him to The Greek.

She made her Broadway debut in 2008 in Speed the Plow and will make her West End Debut in The Children’s Hour in 2011.
